Therapies - hypnotherapy for pregnancy related issues & pregnancy massage

Relaxation is often thought of as a luxury, something we do if we have the time or as a treat but it is essential to our health especially when we are pregnant. Research has demonstrated that relaxation during pregnancy helps to enhance both mother and baby's well-being.

From the moment of conception right through to the birth, you and your baby experience a time together which is unique and very special. The inner world you lovingly create for them during this crucial stage of their development lays the foundations upon which their long-term health and happiness are built.

One of the needs of pregnant women is to socialize and share their experiences. Michel Odent

Hypnosis or the hypnotic state, as it is sometimes referred to, is a naturally occurring phenomena of the mind. If you have ever caught yourself day dreaming or realised you have been staring into space, deeply absorbed in your own thoughts then you have already experienced a hypnotic trance. It is something that people of all ages do instinctively on a daily basis.

Hypnotherapy simply uses this naturally occurring relaxed state of mind to gently and effectively communicate to the subconscious or inner mind and bring about a positive change. The mind is a powerful resource and has a significant affect upon both our physical and emotional state. Hypnosis works with your subconscious mind to help overcome unwanted thoughts, behaviours or physical responses.

Kirsty encourages and help clients to go into a hypnotic state by using a variety of relaxation and visualisation techniques. Hypnosis only works with the active and willing participation of the person. You remain completely in control and aware of where you are and what you are doing at all times during a session.

Hypnotherapy - safe, gentle and effective help throughout your pregnancy.

Just wanted to say a big thank you for all the tips from the class we came too. I was induced in the end 2 weeks early and our baby boy was born on new years day. The breathing techniques you showed us made a massive difference and helped me cope so well. I did end up having an epidural but mainly due to being so exhausted as had been in hospital a long time.  If and when we have our second child we will be booking a one to one course as what you taught us in the workshop made a big difference to me coping with the symptoms.
Thank you again. MI & DI, Gillingham

I wasn't sure what to expect from the class but I found it very informative, relaxing and a great opportunity to connect with other mums to be. I felt the class benefited from Kirsty's background in paediatric nursing. NF - hypno-birthing Mum
